Advertising is used as a device and a method in order to communicate with the target audience, or the type of people a company is focusing its product upon. It is used to pursuade and encourage potential customers to purchase the company's goods or services. This way they are able to ultimately make a financial profit. Commercial advertisers will attempt to increase customer consumption of their products or services through "branding" which involves the heavy use of the product or company/ business name so that the activities and qualities of the said company are embedded within the minds of the consumers.
